Her mother is from Mexico and does not know how to speak English, so she prefers talking to her children in Spanish. However, Alonzo is fluent in Spanish and inseparable from her mother. Until she was 18, she shared the same bed with her mother and listened to beautiful stories at night. At 18, I selected Webster University to study arts and theatre because the family could not afford the Lifestyle of the school’s fee structure and drop in between.
